This large detached house already had a rear extension for the kitchen however, as part of a refurbishment project, this has been demolished and replaced with a larger space. We are also refurbishing and reconfiguring the current link to the garage, adding a first floor gym, a large glass roof panel and additional rooflights in a new Zinc clad fan-shaped roof.
Access to this project has proved challenging due to tree and plant protection required. Because of the property’s proximity to the River Thames, we have also had to install piling to carry the new extension area whilst being mindful of tree roots and close neighbours.
The client has opted to remain in the main house during works, so we created a temporary kitchen for them and sealed the rest of the house from the building works.
