Yew Tree Lakes is an exceptional, one-off building. It has a breath-taking view of its very own fishing lake and is surrounded by nature. The new build consists of 4 Bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.

Every detail of the interior was decided by Kathryn Levitt which gave the house a unique and modern feel. Each room has fantastic feature wall of colour created by the material wallpapers used. The dining room/kitchen area has an eye-catching barrel- roof which incorporates the train carriage theme that is continued throughout the house, reflecting the old railway that ran through the land. Other interesting features include the unique gold taps and shower in the en-suite, as well as a standalone bath with a fantastic view of the lake The house also has a standing steam coloured zinc barrel roof together with triple glazed windows which creates a fantastic structure and shape from all angles.

The house has extremely high environmental standards. Its EPC has achieved an exceptional A rating score of 105. This was partly due to having a 15KW PV system located on the roof feeding into a Tesla battery storage and a biomass woodchip boiler fed from logs cut from the surrounding woodland. The building itself is insulated with recycled newspaper insulation throughout. HB Homes also completed the external works, which really finishes the house off, with a fantastic grand entrance contained by a curved living plant retaining wall.

The client are a retired couple that originally bought the land in the1960’s and have decided to do this amazing project to create their forever home. They can look forward to their family and friends staying and hosting their son and daughter in law’s wedding next year.
